At the time, it seems like the end of the world. Getting over it is beyond impossible.

Now, looking back at the heartaches that I have encountered.. I simply grin at my naive state. Not saying I was naive for thinking I was in love, but naive for the fact that I thought I would never survive.

Patience is something that I was always short of. It is something that I am still trying to master. I may never even be able to master it, but at least I tried. Trying to move forward is already winning. Accepting defeat that you will “never love someone like I loved him” or ever “feel the same way for someone else” is sad. It shows weakness and shows what you really think of yourself. Settling is no longer an option for me. Strive for the best. Strive for love. Strive for happiness and just live.

It took an old “love” to remind me of this. So, I thank you.

Time does not heal all, but it does heal most.
